We have this great kid’s consignment shop a few towns over where I both shop for the kids and sell things. They have great prices and their stuff is nearly new. And, when I bring my stuff in to sell there I get money to spend there, which is awesome!
The trick for me has been getting my stuff in there at the right time. They only take clothes for the season we’re currently in, and stop doing that a bit before the season is over to make room for the new season’s gear; makes sense.
And, they stop taking things randomly when they get inundated with too much stuff. Again, makes sense.
But, I kept coming at the wrong time. My stuff was either just out of season, or, lately, they just weren’t taking things on the days I could head over there (it’s 30 min away and in a town I don’t go to or through often).
But today was different! I called, they were taking stuff, and they were still taking winter stuff…which is what I had.
So, I finally got rid of my stuff!! Two big garbage bags full of maternity and little boy clothes, which will rake me in a nice chunk of change! And, I got I. some much needed shirts and pants, and O. some things that he needed too. It was a good, productive trip to the consignment shop!
