I’m posting this from the boy’s computer….because mine is very sick. It seems to be the hard drive – never a good thing.
Unfortunately, we didn’t backup in a few months. It seems that Mr.T. is getting some of the important documents, and the pictures (I almost cried as it seemed like we wouldn’t get the pics – which have documented much of O.’s first year) onto the external hard drive. So, that’s good. But, there are other things he’s not able to get into to save.
I don’t know what we’re going to do. We don’t really need this expense right now – but I’ve gotta have a computer. Too much of my paid work is done on a computer.
But, we’re going to have to spend at least $400 – most likely more to get a new computer. At least laptops and desk tops are closer in price. We’ve had a laptop for a long time and it’s very convenient for trying to work and chase kids. I initially thought I’d have to compromise and get a desk top - but luckily we’ve found some decent laptops that are in the same price range.
I dunno.
It could be soooo much worse. It’s just a computer. But, like many, soooo much of my life is on that machine. At least I have the boy’s so I can get some work done. Even if a lot of my pass-codes and documents are on the sick computer.
It’ll be OK.
It really will.
