Do you believe in angels? I definitely do. I know it may seem far fetched to some, but, I’ve heard too many stories and seen too many things to deny that there is a Higher Power, and she/he has quite a few helpers.
Just take this story for example. Now I can’t say for sure, I wasn’t there, but, the fact that this other person left the scene under his own power (even the other rescuer needed help because it was quite a ways down from the pier) and also left right away is a common theme that runs through angel stories.
If you don’t know what I mean by “angel stories” you can find them in a lot of different books, and there’s even a bi-monthly magazine you can buy, called “Angels on Earth” that’s filled with angel stories sent in by people from all over the country!
In some stories about angels, people do report seeing the angel. But often, the angel appears (seemingly out of nowhere) in completely human form and then promptly disappears upon helping the real human narrowly avert disaster; like in the story above (I’m not saying the “French tourist” is an angel, just using the story as an example).
These stories are quite amazing and, to me, are special because they help to question “reality” and affirm that there is more out there than we really know.
Not only that though; they’re also reminders that there are beings in the universe that want only to help us and watch over us. A comforting thought in a world that can seem to be filled with uncertainty and too much negativity.
