The boys have been excited this week because they’re getting a special visit from their Nana. My mom drove up from PA yesterday and the boys have been having fun with her ever since.
She brought gifts of new Star Wars sheets and new books…which she promptly sat down and read to them! Then, she took them shopping!
There are a few more days left and the boys have big plans. They introduced her to Wii, and she played, and seemed to like it. They want to watch Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark with her, and, as usual, they want her to read and read and read some more!
The boys think Nana is a blast because she does pretty much whatever they want and she gives them great gifts they actually want!
Not bad eh?
The boys don’t think so either. And, Mr. T. and I enjoy having an extra adult around that the kids can hang out with. Since O. have been born we haven’t taken advantage of a Nana visit to go out, but, soon O. will be OK with it too and we’ll get another Nana visit bonus of a date night!
It’s so nice having good relationships with family. And even though we’re far from everyone, it’s always extra special when we actually get to see each other!
